Huge Café

 

The ask

A permanent installation of new in-store tech to reinvent the contactless pickup.

 
 

Huge Café had been the live innovation lab in Huge ATL for over 5 years, which activates Huge’s capability to experiment with the future through a “test and learn” approach for unsolved experiential retail challenges. That mission was continued as Huge worked on a new phase with the production release of the Huge x BRASH iOS app and fufilling the vision of the founders of the Café with new innovative & seamless pickup experience.


 
 

A newly designed ordering experience.

 

The team focused on two initatives. Improving and installing a contactless ordering system in the physical space while also redesigning the Café app to support BRASH’s every changing menu and an improved purchase flow.

Creating a new app design for Café from scratch, we were able to leverage Huge’s clean and impactful core brand as the foundation of our UI and create a design that ‘gets out of the way’ and allows the user to focus on the task at hand. A beautiful, clean and focused design so our customers can order, purchase and enjoy their coffee without any blockers or distractions.

Am updated in-store technology focuses on ensuring a seamless ordering experience.

Full mobile purchase flow: First, menu items are available for order through the beta mobile application.

Its magic: Utilizing in-ear audio headset, baristas will receive order notifications from a custom iPad application.

Seamless delivery: Once the beverage is made, a visual placeholder will be projected on the countertop that shows an empty spot for the customer's drink, closing once the customer picks up the drink.

 
 

AR coffee coaster:  Users are able to scan a QR code and see AR visuals about the process from when the coffee is picked to when it is made into coffee drinks for customers.
